Aquafier

About
The Aquafier subteam is an interdisciplinary group of students striving to raise awareness on the adverse effects of unsafe drinking water. The team is divided into 3 subgroups: lab, construction, and impact assessment, and they will be working with a real world stakeholder to design an affordable and accessible water treatment system that meets their unique needs. Aquafier eventually plans to compete in the Canadian National Water Treatment Competition (CNWTC) to further their knowledge of water treatment and share their work.
Mission
Through lab testing, iterative design, and stakeholder consultation, Aquafier aims to engineer a world where everyone has access to safe, clean drinking water.

Our Vision
Aquafier envisions a future where access to safe and clean water is affordable, and accessible to everyone. Safe drinking water is a right, not a privilege, and our team is committed to designing the practical, context-specific systems that will help secure this right for all.
